Hey Mr. Waugh,

That clip was amazing and taught me heaps of things.
( this is a lot of information!)

*Apparently Antarctic is nothing but boring
*in antarctic there is about 30 million cubic km of ice
*If you chop it up all of the ice every person would get an I've cube the size of the great pyramid of Giza
*If Antarctic's ice sheets melted the worlds ocean would rise by 60m everywhere
*most of the ice rests on rocks
*ice that breaks free becomes icebergs
*90% of an iceberg floats beneath the water
*Antarctica is home to some of the worlds largest icebergs
*Antarctica isn't only ice it's inlands are covered with valleys and almost no precipitation each year
*Antarctica is largest desert in the world
*whales eat about 400 000 tiny krill a day or 3600 kg of krill which is equal to feeding a human for about 4 year, they eat this much every day for 6 months!

Hi Mr. Waugh, this clip was super! I learnt a lot of new things!

- There are 30 million cubic kilometres of ice in Antarctica, and if we cut it all up, there would be a chunk for everyone in the world the size of The Pyramids of Giza.

- If Antarctica's ice sheets melted, the world's oceans would rise by 60 metres.

- 90% of an iceberg is underwater (just like Uluru by the way but underground)

- Not all of Antarctica is ice, it's inland is dry and hasn't rained in 20 million years!

- Blue whales eat 40 million krills each day. That's equivalent to 3,600kg! If we had that, that would last us 4 years!

Wow that was a very interesting clip. It is also interesting that metorites are easily found on Antractica. It is also interesting that a whale can eat up to 4,000,000 a day or 3600 for six months.

Windiest place on earth
30 million cubic meters of ice
If Antarctica melted sea levels would rise 60 meters
90% of an iceberg floats beneath the water
Ice berg b15a is roughly the same size as Luxembourg
Not rained in 2 000 000 million years

Hi mr Waugh

There is over 30 million cubic meters of ice
If the ice in Antarctica was to melt there would be a 60 meter increase in the worlds sea water every where
One whale eats 36 million krill a day enough to feed a human for about four years

Dear Mr. Waugh

- Did you know if Antarctica was cut up to the size of Gisa's Pyramids, there would be enough for everyone in the world to have?
- If Antarctica's ice sheets melted, the seas would rise 60 meters.
- Most of Antarctica rests on rock.
- 90% of an iceberg is under water.
- Antarctica has the largest iceberg named B15A. It is as big as Luxembourg, Germany.
- Antarctica does not rain at all. Last time it rained was two million years ago.
- In 2002 the Larson ice shelf disintegrated. The ice shelf was as big as the state of Rhode Island, USA.
