No I couldn't find it on a map but I know that is on the way to Antarctica.
We need to keep these environments preserved because there are lots of animals living there such as elephant seals,penguins,skuas,giant petrels

This place needs to be preserved because so many animals call this place home
1. Macquarie Island is one of the islands off Antarctica and near Australia. It has to be preserved because there are many different species that are under threat of extinction if the island is not preserved. By Serif
Macquarie island is a island around near Antarctica that should be well restored especially because many animals live there and call it home put it this way how would you like it if someone came to where you live and started destroying it.

I think these sort of environments need to be preserved because they belong to various animals that need that sort of area to live, feed and breed.
Hi I don't think that the island can be found on a map but I know it is on the way to Antarctica this island should be preserved because there ar heaps of animals living there such as penguins seals skuas and giant petrels

Elephant seals, Penguins, skuas and giant petrels
On this l km long stretch of beach on Macquarie island there are:
- 100's of albatross, gulls, skuas, giant peteral
- 3 1/2 tonne elephant seal.
- there are also king penguins
- 1 1/2 billion royal penguins
thats incredible one and a half million penguins :)
also this place needs to be preserved because all sorts of animals live there and call it home.

I still am blown away by the fact that there are one and a half MILLION penguins living there as well as other animals too!
3 and a half tonne elephant seals wow you wouldn't want to fight with them if your my height or aNy height really

Maquarie island is located around Australia although from google maps says it is below Australia and new Zealand. Kinda close to antarctica.
These sorts of environments need to be kept preserved because there are many animals living there. And they need places to live and maquarie island is one of those islands.

Yes! The Macquarie Island is found south of New Zealand. I think if anyone interferes with the animals as well as their habitat the Island would be ruined. I wonder how the seals and the penguins got there do you Know?
